As a way to kick that off, I thought I would share a digital freebie: Coordinate Grid Battleship! I used to love playing Battleship as a kid, because it required strategy. I really had to think about where my opponents boats were and once you had an idea, you knew how to use the points to win!
In this Google Slide presentation, all you need to do is create a copy and assign each copy to a student. Each student will have his or her own to move the boats around and use the black and red dots to find the opponent's boats. This can be done in a social distancing classroom or even on a Zoom call! There is a handy video that shows you exactly how to move each part around built into the slide.
